major league gaming

Though MLG has since closed its doors, the work we did helped pave the way for all North American esports to come. In my time there, I went from being their only video editor in 2006 to being the Executive Producer of all of its flagship broadcasts until I left to join Twitch in 2014.

twitch

The three years I spent at Twitch are possibly the most important of my career. I was hired to create their first content team, and as the Video Production Manager, I was in charge of staffing, contracting, producing, directing and even building a professional quality studio in the Twitch office.

twitchcon

As Video Production Manager at Twitch, one of the biggest projects I was in charge of was the main stage broadcast for TwitchCon. Since the first convention in 2014, I’ve been central to the planning and execution of the primary live stream for each one. From sourcing stage construction companies to managing the internal team in charge of creative production, this was one of the biggest jobs we could take on.

mighty media

I came to Mighty Media at the most interesting possible time: the Covid Pandemic lockdown. In 2020, video production teams across the globe were scrambling to establish the best process for working remotely and keeping everyone safe. Microsoft is Mighty’s biggest client, and I was fortunately able to contribute to Microsoft’s many covid-safe remote productions, while also getting to experience their incredible world-class production studio.

evil geniuses

EG, one of North America’s premier esports teams, was in many ways a dream come true. EG has always been a presence at the many esports and gaming events I’ve worked on in my time at MLG and Twitch. I’m great friends with many of the people who contributed to the original team’s legendary run. While serving as Executive Producer at this NEW incarnation of the team, I worked with some of the most talented people I have ever had the pleasure to know. Sylas, Julie and the rest of the in-house team at this organization did incredible work, and I’m enormously proud of what we accomplished.

freelance

It’s been an incredibly challenging but inspiring task to leap from a career of Full Time work to life as a freelancer in 2023. Going from project to project is a whirlwind that requires agility and the ability to grasp a complex product quickly. I’ve found that I can leap into a show with very little information, see how my skills contribute and work with a room full of strangers to get complicated shows to shine. It’s been wild, but unbelievably fun at the same time.
